China’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland Ambassador Jia Guide Meets with the Permanent Representative of Sudan

On 4 September 2026, H.E.Mr. Jia Guide, Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, met with H.E. Mr. Hassan Hamid Hassan HAMID, Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Sudan to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva.

Ambassador Jia stated that the friendship between China and Sudan is long-standing and has grown ever stronger over time. Amid the current turbulent international landscape, the two sides maintain close communication in multilateral arenas and offer firm mutual support on issues concerning each other's core interests. China looks forward to further deepening coordination and cooperation with Sudan, jointly practicing true multilateralism, and voicing the just position of the Global South.

Ambassador Hassan noted that Sudan and China have always respected and supported each other. He expressed Sudan's gratitude for China's long-standing efforts to speak up for justice and uphold fairness on behalf of Sudan in multilateral forums. He affirmed Sudan's readiness to further consolidate and deepen the strategic partnership with China, strengthen collaboration within Geneva-based platforms, jointly safeguard international equity and justice, and protect the shared interests of developing countries.
