Spain Slams Iran’s Missile Strikes on U.S. Bases
In an official statement, Spain’s Foreign Ministry declared, "The Spanish Government strongly condemns Iran's bombing of Qatari and Iraqi territories. This attack on US bases is a further step in the military escalation and endangers the entire region."
The statement reinforced Spain’s demand for restraint and adherence to international law, pressing for an "immediate" halt to violence alongside a resumption of diplomatic dialogue.
"Spain reiterates its commitment to stability in the Middle East and will continue to work with its partners for regional stability," the ministry emphasized.
Iran unleashed a volley of missiles on the US’s Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday, intensifying tensions sharply after the US struck three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend.
An Iranian news agency confirmed that coordinated missile attacks also targeted multiple US bases in Iraq, though further specifics were not disclosed.
